John and the others appeared in a quiet little corner of Mexico City, likely a spot having been chosen carefully before hand. Moments after they arrived, Chris also appeared, and with him was another brunette female. Once he saw them, he motioned everyone together.

"Looks like there's one more Cabal group here, apparently they've targeted a woman not far from here. She goes by the name Hazel Mendez."

Nikola for his part blinked slightly before he replied.

"Hazel Mendez? That's not good, she was one of the Montana test subjects years ago."

Michael responded to Nikola's comment with a slightly odd look, then added, "Well, that sounds lovely..."

Chris blinked at Nikola.

"Montana Subjects? Weren't those the ones that had their abnormal DNA permanently removed?"

"Yes. Though why the Cabal would be after them I have no idea."

"Doesn't matter. We need to get to her before they can. Allison .."

The brunette cut him off, shaking her head.

"Not a chance man. I'm coming with you folks. Besides, you might need to turn up the heat a bit, if you catch my meaning."

Chris sighed, shaking his head.

"This could get interesting."[/color]

After a moment, Michael spoke up, looking at Nikola. "Something just came to my mind... They've been looking into ways to create their own abnormals. Someone with zero abnormal DNA... That's a blank slate. If they've made some kind of breakthrough, there's bigger trouble than usual afoot."

Chris paused mid motion, blinking several times before growling slightly.

"The underground experiments. If they found something viable that they can control, they could use the Montana Subjects to duplicate them."

Nikola himself seemed displeased with that thought, though it was unclear if he was annoyed by the thought of it, or that he hadn't thought of that himself.

"If that's the case then everyone is in trouble, some of those things they were experimenting with were quite nasty. But in order to do that, they'd need a catalyst for it. Something like ..."

Chris and Nikola looked at each other for a moment before both simultaneously added, "the source blood."

Michael looked at the two for a moment, then sighed. "[REDACTED], I hate having insights like that sometimes..."

Allison for her part thought for a moment, then let out a rather colorful, unladylike remark at that.

"We need to move fast then, and she's likely not the only one they're after. John, take Clara with you, get Helen to give you addresses and fast, we need to get to them before the Cabal do."

John and Clara poofed a moment later.

While Allison was giving instructions to John and Clara, Michael was studying the visible local crowd. When they poofed, he ducked to the side slightly, so that he was only visible to the group. As anyone looking at him watched, his features seemed to decompose, revealing the features of a fairly non-descript local. He grinned at them, and made a 'let's go' gesture while rattling something off in rapid-fire Spanish.

Nikola and Gwen paused as Michael completed his little stunt, with the former leaning closely to Gwen and adding, "Well, now a few things make a lot more sense."

The remainder of the group would move with him, with Chris interjecting only long enough and often enough to correct their 'path' to get to where they needed to.

By the time they reached where they needed to, it was clear the Cabal were already there. Several armed Cabal soldiers were just breaking into a small 'home' upon their arrival ...

As the group got line of sight on the Cabal team, there seemed to be a sudden, brief distortion further up the street from the Cabal... And whatever caused it had clearly gotten the attention of the team's rear guard... And it seemed to quickly get the attention of the whole group.

Chris noticed something was up, though he could see or hear nothing other than the Cabal soldiers getting hyped over something.

"What in the everloving ...."

Nikola and Gwen just looked over at Michael with the faintest hint of suspicion he was pulling something again.

Allison for her part was scanning the area, pointing over to one section by the nearest 'house'

"I think I spotted a woman over that way, looks like she's trying to get away from them, but she's in a dead end spot.  Might be the girl we're looking for?"

Nikola and Gwen would get confirmation, while Chris and Allison would find themselves getting a new question... As Michael spoke up. "I think I can keep these Cabal morons tied up, see what you can do about helping the VIP."

Meanwhile, a couple of the Cabal dropped down, still. The others, meanwhile, looked and acted like there was some excessively loud noises happening.

Chris nodded, moving in along with Allison to check on the woman. Nikola and Gwen meanwhile seemed to hang back, possibly because seeing Nikola might not go over well, and ... well, Gwen had her own reasons which sometimes included a fear of someone touching a part of her body that wasn't contained from accidental electrical discharges.

((Not much all else to do here at this point I don't think, can probably get to wrapping this section up soon and get them back to Calgary for the real reveal.))

It wouldn't take very long for the Cabal team to end up completely still. After a couple of moments, Michael stepped back into some nearby shadows briefly, before stepping back out as his usual appearance. "As soon as they're back, we should go. I can't guarantee they didn't get word out that something happened."
